"Who possess little has the first right to it." - Egyptian proverb.

Dennette's Star Trek and Sci-Fi site is a collection of his original pages (photo with Asimov and another with Patrick Stewart) and A checklist of his Worf episodes from TNG.

And he has links to some Star Trek sites and Sci-fi sites - Firefly, Roughnecks, Stargate SG-1, Babylon 5, and Farscape.

A bonus is a button to the "Friends of Spot" website.

Summary

"Who possess little has the first right to it." - Egyptian proverb.

Dennette's Star Trek and Sci-Fi site is a little of everyting. His links, other links, some banners and a webring. The site is not particularly one the shouts "Look at me, I am a Star Trek Site!" This site is more subdued and personal. It's one of those things put together as proof that you have something to say. Dennette has a lot of things to say. I found myself looking at his other stuff - the photos of Asimov and Stewart, his photography profile, a page that is sort of a past blog and a mixture of other little things that says, "This is who I am - you decide whether you like it or not." You have to admire a person who quietly resonants 'eDjen. But that's okay. It is allowed.

Likes

It's his quiet arrogances ('eDjen for the tlhIngan) I like. Some of the stories (his blogs) were pretty interesting. I like the one about his getting several nude shots of a Local Bad Guy's girlfriend.

And he is a fairly expanded individual - many different types of likes.

Dislikes

"Who possess little has the first right to it." That's absolutely right. Denette's website is his own. It doesn't inspire creativity, but I'm certain he didn't make it to inspire people. This is a "This is me" website. It would be nice if he updated it or even expanded some of the pages. Several of the links are just one page and just have enough information to give you an idea that someone did some research.

Conclusion

This is a good simple website that whets the appetite for more, but that is basically all you're going to get. It's a lean diet but you do feel like you've eaten something. There are some very good things about it - like the personal stories, but as a Star Trek page? "Banners and Links do not make it so." In his defense, I think Dennette would be a person worth getting to know. The man likes Cats!

The Adventures of Absalom West #5 (Star Trek)
written and illustrated by Richard Merk (April 1, 2005)

A Mostly True story

A tapestry of verdure.

A living emerald jewel.

Suspended against the umber filaments of the Briar Patch Nebula, the planet Oo-oo-ah basked in the life-giving light and warmth of a yellow sun. A myriad small azure coral seas, sinuous brown mountain chains, and brilliant white streamers of cloud all twined together across the green surface of the globe in a vast and intricate jigsaw puzzle creating a pleasing visual extravaganza. Small polar ice caps and deep green almost everywhere else promised a tropical paradise.

One tiny human-built spaceport in the southern hemisphere was the extent of modern civilization.

Sprawling ancient ruins built by the long-extinct Iconians gave silent testimony to past grandeur.

School Days: Episode I

My Husband informed me that the Starfleet Academy indoctrination would proceed as if it were occurring on Earth. He explained there should be as real as an experience as possible. I had patiently replied that I am aware of the process and that the Pomp and Circumstance ceremony was unnecessary. It was illogical. He laughed, kissed me on the forehead and said I was no longer a civilian. He then proceeded to log my new status as a Starfleet Academy cadet into the ship's secondary computer. The computer acknowledged my new status and referred to me as Cadet T'Irs Scar'an. My Husband had informed me that I would no longer have any large blocks of free time from this moment forward. In his words I "now belonged to Starfleet, lock stock and barrel." Later I queried the computer as to the meaning of the phrase. It said, “’Lock, Stock, and Barrel’ means the whole thing. On the once then island continent known as Great Britain it was sometimes said ‘Stock, Lock, and Barrel.’ The phrase referred to the old style firearms during the early19th century. Lock meant the trigger, Stock meant the handle and Barrel meant the metal tube which guided the projectile as it was expelled from the weapon.” I was still uncertain, but following a logical train of thought I would deduct that that I, as a person, now belonged to Starfleet.

Star Trek: Andromeda
Prologue: The Newcomer
by Katarzyna Marcinkowska

Captain to Engineering!’ The comm badge chirped suddenly.
‘On my way. What is it?.’ Asked the Captain as he hurried down to the closest turbolift.
‘You’d better come here and look for yourself, Cap.’ Came the strange reply. Usually, his Chief Engineer provided him with more detailed information. Captain Mark Anthony didn’t have time to consider the unexpected response as the door of the cart opened to reveal a strange scene. In the centre of the circular room there was a very confused young woman. She was strangely dressed in light blue blouse and very short skirt and of unusually tan complexion. Otherwise she looked perfectly human. She had wavy black hair and blue eyes. Surrounded by almost all of the engineering staff and some security for good measure, she was looking around with apparent curiosity and some bemusement.
‘All right,’ She spoke. ‘That’s weird. I never knew you were staging around here. Where is the director?’

Star Trek: Skipware
Episode I by James C Jones II

My name is Colonel John Cord. I’m a Federation Time Cop from the 30 th Century. I’m here to protect and save the Federation and our Time Line from bad guys.

That’s what I’m supposed to say. The truth is, just about anyone who travels back in Time is a bad guy. The grandmother who wants to pick the lovely and innocent looking flowers could be the reason why Owlum Odeeti decided to mass murder a thousand citizens in the middle of Ramadan. Improbable, highly unlikely? You can tell that to my boss when he stumps through the hallway yelling, “Is there a Time Cop in the house. Bad guy is afoot!”

That was how this day started, or was that yesterday? Strange thing is I don’t believe it matters. I travel through time and I have a life expectancy of five hundred, at least, if I don’t get myself whacked first. That includes at this moment. The thing is, I’m in a tight spot. The guy, Odeeti, is not from this time period, neither am I, but that’s beside the point. Odeeti tossed a grenade, a very powerful one, in the middle of a crowd. One thousand years in the past from my present time line. What makes this so tragic is that the incident is in recorded history. So, I wasn’t supposed to stop him. That’s the part that hurts. I wasn’t supposed to stop him from mass murder just stop him afterwards. What type of compassion is that? They tell me it’s necessary. The Timeline is important and we must preserve the Line as much as possible. Still doesn’t stop it from making me sad, but I’ve been profiled to be a person who can overcome sadness. I can shut it down like an outdated computer. Flip the switch and be done with it. Except it doesn’t always work – not entirely.

Star Trek: Outwardly Mobile 57 - Raumschiff Melakon

John Flagg walked down the street observing the details.

In some ways the place reminded him of Iotia. The preferred clothing styles were similar. The look of the place was 1930s art deco. But the machines were modern. The street was narrow, an imitation of old German and European cities.

Steel Eagle flags were every where and pictures. Hitler, John Gill, Melakon, Mak Reising.

Flagg wore a generic business suit in the current fashion on Earth. It would have been different enough to mark him as an outsider, but his companion drew the looks.

Danog Mogar was an Angosian. Externally he was completely human. His world's preferred styles were softer and more colorful than the dark colored rakish lines the Ekosians liked.

Mogar was in light blue slacks and a matching wraparound style jacket. His shirt was white, a comfortable material with an odd asymmetric cut.

The two men walked towards the Reichstag, A building housing the National Socialist government of Ekos.

USS Valkyrie
Chapter One - Approaching Border
Andreas Bodensohn

“What are you doing with my kitchen?”

Ben Tucker looked up, startled by his wife’s grumpy tone. “Making some scrambled eggs for breakfast. You haven’t done much cooking lately and I thought it would be a shame to let the supplies we brought from Earth go to waste. Want some?”

“No thanks.” Tarin turned to the replicator and pondered over the list of her favorite breakfast selections. “I am sorry for coming down on you like this. You know that I am not really a morning person and I didn’t sleep too well last night.”

“No need to apologize.” Ben smiled at her, before he turned his attention to his cooking again. “And ‘not too well’ may be an understatement. You were tossing and turning in your sleep all night.”

“I am sorry if I kept you awake.”

“And again no need to apologize.” Ben shoveled his breakfast on a plate and sat down. “You usually have such a deep sleep that it was quite noticeable, but I got enough sleep myself.”

As Tarin joined him at the dining table, he asked, “bad dreams or something on your mind?”

“Bad dreams about something on my mind.” She took a sip of tea and Ben gave her time to fully awaken – an effect starting on her breakfast always had on Tarin. The suddenness with which it happened still mystified Ben, but he knew that in a few moments his wife would be ready to share with him whatever bothered her – if she wanted to.

“I am worried about the Cardassians. Now that the Maquis have gone into hiding again who knows what they will do next? Sooner or later they will turn their eyes on us again, and I don’t mean just the Federation and Starfleet in general.
